Charities receive Burns Night Dinner proceeds

Three local nonprofits received $1,100 each on May 3 from proceeds from the Robert Burns Charity Dinner and Whiskey Tasking held in February by the Butte County Scottish Society and Chico-Leland Stanford Masonic Lodge No. 111. Brother Harvey was raised in Lodge No. 784 in 1966. He was a 50 year Golden Veteran receiver.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM @ the Durham Park covered pavilion.

Ace Hardware Donation to Chico Family Masonic Center
/The East Ave. Ace Hardware donated 50,000 sanitizer towelets and 100 bottles of dish soap. Tony of Ace Hardware made the donation on December 9th with Bro. Brad Marr, PM.

Golden Veteran Award: Bro. Louis Langie, PM
/Louis Anthony Langie of Chico was awarded a 50-year membership pin and certificate from the Chico-Leland Standford Masonic Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons No. 111 on Dec. 9. Presenting the award were John L. Barneson III, master of the Chico lodge and Brad Marr, Grand Lodge of California Inspector for Masonic District No. 216. Langie was raised a Master Mason in 1971 and was master of the lodge in 1984. Pictured from left are Barneson, Langie and Marr.
